Company Profile

1.                   Specialty Systems:

T&S designs certain automation components to meet specific customer requirements.  Examples of this include the TASKWRITER™ line of industrial marking systems now in use in both heavy steel and tire industries. Our work with these technologies has made us the premier provider of Weigh/Measure/Stencil (WMS) systems for the OCTG industry.

T&S is also at the forefront of Laser Thickness gaging as used in the glass manufacturing industry, with working systems in place with responsibilty for 100% inspection of our customers’ product streams.

The specialty systems we supply use industry-standard off-the-shelf parts combined (where necessary) with fixtures and weldments designed by T&S.   These components are assembled either at T&S or the customer site, with value added in the form of custom software for machine operation and man/machine interfacing.

2.                   General Industrial Automation:

T&S excels in putting together general automation systems.  We have years of on-board experience with PLC’s, robotics, palletizing, conveyance, measurement, and instrumentation.  We have been placing PC’s on the factory floor since the early MS-Dos days.  We work on core processes like flying cutoffs and in-line mill feed systems, working on-line where downtime is measured in thousands of dollars per hour.  See our Solutions section for accounts of how we approach general automation challenges.

3.                     Automated systems support:

T&S provides field service and parts support for systems as above, be they of T&S design or those designed by others.  This would include parts inventory and procurement supporting existing systems and field troubleshooting and repair of automated systems.  Often we have been called in to clean up someone else’s mess, helping to turn what might have been a disaster into a successful project.
